Veniamin Konstantinovich Balika, 32, of the 12000 block of Winterberry Lane, Plainfield, in a mug shot from a 2011 arrest in Naperville.

A Plainfield man was arrested Tuesday after police said he stole 42,000 pounds of Wisconsin cheese valued at $200,000, according to the AP.

Veniamin Konstantinovich Balika, 34, was arrested Tuesday in New Jersey. Balika used false paperwork to obtain the cheese, according to the AP.

Balika was driving a refrigerated truck filled with Muenster cheese to Texas but was stopped by a New Jersey State Police Cargo Theft unit.

"There's a black market for everything," New Jersey State Police Detective 1 Oliver Sissman told Madison news outlet Channel 3000.

"We've seen everything stolen. We've found stolen beer, stolen food, stolen machine parts, but this is the first time, we've found stolen cheese."

If the cheese passes health inspections, it will be donated to charity, the AP reported.
