A Valley View School District 365U administrator is running for a school board seat of a different school district.

Gary Grizaffi, assistant superintendent of administrative services, is a candidate for one of four seats on the Batavia School District 101 school board. If elected, he would sit behind the dais for two school districts' school board meetings.
Grizaffi has lived in Batavia for 17 years and has two children in the district, according to the Chicago Tribune.
He told the Tribune that his 25 years of experience in public education would prepare him "to be an active member of the District 101 board."
"Public education is a very complex business that requires someone who understands the multiple aspects of its operation,"Grizaffi told the Tribune. "It would be difficult to find a more qualified board candidate than myself."
There are seven candidates running for the Batava School District 101 school board.
