Someone smashed the rear driver's side window on a car parked at a business in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive with a brick and stole clothing, several items of jewelry and CDs worth a total of $4,200, police said.

A thief or thieves stole four empty trailers from the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of West Taylor Road, police said. The thefts occurred from July 2012 to October 2012. The trailers were worth an estimated $18,000.
Someone used an unknown object to break a window at a residence in the 100 block of Highpoint, causing $200 in damage, according to police.

A trailer and shipping container worth an estimated $6,844.27 were stolen from a shipping dock at a business in the 1100 block of Arbor Drive, police said.

Two unknown shiplifters stole 23 DVDs worth a total of $550 from a business in the 400 block of North Weber Road, according to police.

Someone pumped $386 worth of diesel fuel at a business in the 300 block of North Independence Boulevard and drove off without paying, police said.

A business in the 100 block of Anton Drive reported the attempted theft of a semi-trailer, police said. According to police reports, a semi-tractor entered the business dock area and attempted to hook up a semi-trailer that was parked at the dock. A worker at the business thought that was suspicious and closed the gate to the parking area, prompting the offenders to flee on foot through a hole in the fence. The semi-trailer had been reported stolen from a Bolingbrook business, police said.

A customer at a business in the 300 block of North Independence Boulevard reported the theft of an outboard boat motor that was on a boat in storage at the business, police said. The estimated value of the motor is $2,500.
