Volunteers will be at four roadway locations this weekend collecting money for the Romeoville High School Band Boosters “Shake-The-Can” fundraiser.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 135th Street and Belmont, 13th Street and Joliet Road, Weber and Airport roads, and Weber and Taylor roads.
Shake-the-Can is one of the ways the Band Boosters raise money to supplement the band program at RHS. The money will go toward the purchase of large or specialized instruments, repair and maintenance of band uniforms, purchase of music, fleet maintenance, scholarships, and travel expenses.
Another Shake-the-Can event is scheduled for May 18.
