Purry Murray

Article submitted by the Romeoville Humane Society:

"Purry" Murray is a special 2-year-old male looking for his "fur-ever: family.

This extremely sweet and loving boy got his name from his constant purring. He is super affectionate and always wants to be around his people. He will follow you around, and wants to come with you when you walk out the door. He's always looking over his shoulder to make sure you are still there with him.

Murray has FIV, which means he cannot be in a household with other felines unless they too to have FIV. Cats can live a long and healthy life with FIV—they just need to be kept in good health and get their regular annual vet visits to ensure they have no other medical issues.

FIV cannot be transmitted to people or canines. He has only had a brief introduction to very active dogs which made him very scared and sent him into hiding. But he may do well with calm dogs after a gradual introduction. Purry Murray will be a wonderful addition to any family with children or other FIV cats. Please contact us if you have any questions about FIV or would like to meet loverboy Murray and give him his new forever home. His sweet nature and kind temperament will make for a lovely pet and companion.

Murray’s adoption fee is $125 which includes his neuter, distemper and rabies vaccinations, FIV/Felv/Heartworm & fecal tests and microchipping. Contact the Romeoville Humane Society by email at romeovillehumanesociety@yahoo.com or phone (877) 813-7300 for more information on Murray or to set an appointment to meet him.
