Shelly Buck was arrested Monday and charged with identity theft and possession of a controlled substance.

A Romeoville woman was arrested Monday after police said she tried to fill a fake prescription for painkillers.

Shelly B. Buck, of the 500 block of Glen, was charged with identity theft and possession of a controlled substance.

Buck was taken into custody after she tried to fill a fake prescription for Norco, which is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. She had previously filled the same prescription on April 26, just three days before she was arrested.

The incident took place at a Bolingbrook CVS Pharmacy at 725 W. Boughton Rd.

Buck was processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
