This news release was issued by the Forest Preserve District of Will County:

Enbridge Energy Limited Partnership donated $10,000 to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for trailhead signage at Centennial Trail-Schneider’s Passage and Isle a la Cache Museum, in Romeoville.

The two new interpretive signs will replace and update signs that have become weathered with age.

“I am pleased we are able to partner with the Forest Preserve District of Will County to support the redevelopment activities at Centennial Trail—Schneider’s Passage and the Isle a la Cache facility,” said John Gauderman, Enbridge Chicago region manager.  “We take our responsibility to the environment seriously, and this partnership is a great opportunity to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.”

“We are grateful to Enbridge for this generous donation,” said Cory Singer, president of the Forest Preserve District of Will County Board of Commissioners.  “Enbridge has also been a District-wide sponsor of special events for some time, so its ongoing support of the Forest Preserve is remarkable.”

The new interpretive signage should be in place by the end of the year.

Centennial Trail-Schneider’s Passage and Isle a la Cache Museum are both located on 135th Street (Romeo Road), 0.5 mile east of Route 53, in Romeoville.
