The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department:
The back door of a van parked in a residential driveway in the 1900 block of Somerset was defaced with spray paint. Report made at about 4:10 p.m. Sept. 29; damage estimated at $100.
Seventy feet of copper piping valued at $450 was reported stolen at about 2:20 p.m. Oct. 3 from a property in the 1700 block of William.
A resident was able scare off a would-be burglar whom he observed trying to break into a vehicle in the 1600 block of Fiddyment. Nothing was taken from the vehicle; report made at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 4.
Kitchen cabinets and tools valued at $2,590 were reported stolen at about 11:50 a.m. Oct. 5 from a residence in the 200 block of Belmont Drive.
Two bicycles valued at $160 were reported stolen at about 1:45 a.m. Oct. 7 from a residence in the 100 block of Highpoint Drive.
A car stereo was stolen and the vehicle's dashboard damaged in a motor vehicle burglary reported at about 12:45 p.m. Oct. 8. The vehicle was parked in a residential driveway in the 200 block of Linden; estimated loss and damage is $270.
A trailer valued at $6,000 was reported stolen at about 9:20 a.m. Oct. 9 from where it was parked in the 1300 block of North Weber Road.
The side window of a vehicle was reported broken at about 3:45 p.m. Oct. 9 while it was parked at a business in the 1000 block of Taylor Road. Damage estimated at $100.
