Property Crimes: Stereos, Gift Cards, Tool Belt, DVD Players Stolen from Vehicles

Follow the Novi Police Department crime reports on Patch.

The following property crimes were reported to the Romeoville Police Department:

The kitchen window of a home in the 200 block of Cedarbend was reported damaged at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 7. Damage estimated at $500.

A car radio and GPS was taken from one vehicle and a car radio and spare key was taken from another while they were parked in the driveway in the 0 to 100 block of Tahoe Lane. Both vehicles were unlocked. Estimated total value is $555; report was made at about shortly before midnight Oct. 9.

Two audio speakers valued at $50 were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in front of a home in the 0 to 100 block of Tahoe Lane at about 1:40 p.m. Oct. 9.

Someone attempted to removed a car stereo from a unlocked car parked in the driveway of a home in the 0 to 100 block of Sonoma Drive. The vehicle/stereo damage was estimated at $300; the report was filed at 2:05 p.m. Oct. 9.

A 10-foot fiberglass ladder valued at $200 was reported stolen from an ouside work area in the 1400 block of Sherman Drive at about 3:35 p.m. Oct. 9.

Two vacuum cleaners valued at $898 were reported stolen from a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road at about 3:35 p.m. Oct. 10.

A car stereo and tool belt valued at a total of $300 were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Cherrywood at about 5:40 a.m. Oct. 12.

A car stereo valued at $150 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 1700 block of Ivy Hill Court at about 6:25 a.m. Oct. 12.

A catalytic converter valued at $2,000 was reported stolen from company vehicle parked int the 1200 block of Remington Boulevard at about 10:10 a.m. Oct.12.

Three portable DVD players and several gift cards and credit cards, valued at a total of $380, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 1700 block of Hawthorne shortly before midnight Oct. 12.

A PlayStation console and a small firearm, valued at a total of $300, were reported stolen from an unlocked house in the 100 block of Cedarbend at about 1:25 p.m. Oct. 12.

An unknown person attempted to remove a satellite radio from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Oak Creek Lane. Report filed at about 4:10 a.m. Oct. 13; no damage estimate listed.

A vehicle window was broken and a cell phone stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 1200 block of Windham Parkway. Report filed at about 12:50 a.m. Oct. 15; damage and valued listed at $480.
