Joliet police continue to seek information on a Dec. 1 hit-and-run accident theft a Crest Hill man dead.
A bulletin was issued Friday asking the public for assistance in tracking down a small-to-midsize gray, silver or light blue vehicle with front-end damage and possibly windshield damage.
The accident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Curtis Avenue and William Street. Luis Valladid, 68, was struck and died two days later at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Valladid's wife, Carmen, with whom he was walking, was not injured but reported that the driver of the hit-and-run car got out of the vehicle, looked at her husband and then left, police said.
She described the driver as a thin black man with gold teeth and standing about 5-foot-10, police said.
