Two employees of Romeoville businesses were arrested Wednesday for selling alcohol to minors, according to Illinois State Police District 5.

State troopers conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveillance Wednesday night at 24 places that sell alcohol in Romeoville and Lockport. They arrested three people for breaking the law by selling to underage customers -- two in Romeoville and one in Lockport.

They were:

  • Bryan A. Mosby, 23, who works at the Jewel-Osco store, 20 S. Weber Road;
  • Harshadkumar P. Patel, 50, who works at Extra Value Wine & Liquor, 348 S. Budler Road;
  • Jennifer L. Kirn, 33, who works at the Walmart store at 16241 S. Farrell Road in Lockport.

Selling alcohol to a minor is a Class A misdemeanor. All three were released on a notice to appear in court.

The surveillance was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
