In 1968, when the state of Illinois celebrated its sesquicentennial -- aka, the 150th anniversary of it becoming a state -- the old Joliet Federal Savings issued a commemorative ashtray/plate to honor the milestone.
Joliet Federal is long gone, but one of its souvenirs is still intact and available on eBay for a starting auction bid of just $2.99 (shipping, however, will set the winner back $6). For one dollar more, you can skip the bidding and just buy it.
The seller describes it as "nice." Bidding ends late Thursday night. Click here to get more details.
